ARTIST BIO

S Kendall Osborne was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1968. At the age of 2, her family moved to Oakland, California, and then again to Concord, California at the age of 9, where she discovered a love of creating art. She has lived in San Francisco, California, since 1991. She is best known for her oil paintings and chine colle prints. Osborne often depicts street scenes, cityscapes, birds, and human forms in pop colors and bold outlines. In high school, Osborne was able to take courses at the Academy of Art College through a summer art scholarship program for high school students, where she learned composition and fine art drawing from still life and the human form. She won the Bank of America Achievement Award in Art.

Osborne was trained in water color and oil painting under the contemporary painter Robert Bechtel. She holds a BA in Painting and was selected for the Honors Studio Program at San Francisco State University. Her work was shown in student exhibitions at the Art Department Gallery, the Student Center Gallery, and at the Dean’s Office. She interned at The LAB conceptual art gallery. She has also worked at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which includes the de Young Museum, and the Legion of Honor Museum. She has shown her work to the public at the de Young Museum in an employee Christmas show, as well as in several galleries and Art Walks in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. She is a member of the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, ArtSpan San Francisco, as well as other professional art organizations.
